WHO WE ARE 

IPROCHIM was set up in 1948 as a chemical engineering institute specialized in the elaboration of the technical and economic documentation required for the development of the chemical and petrochemical industry in Romania.

In about 60 years of activity, IPROCHIM institute mainly contributed to the development of the Romanian chemical and petrochemical industry by the projects elaborated for the most part of the industrial objectives in these branches.

Due to the highly qualified specialists and due to the enlarged technical potential IPROCHIM designed almost all chemical sites in Romania: AMONIL Slobozia, ARPECHIM Piteşti, DOLJCHIM Craiova, PETROMIDIA Năvodari, AMURCO Bacău, NITRAMONIA Făgăraş, DONAU CHEM Turnu Măgurele, SINTEZA Oradea, COLOROM Codlea, CAROM Oneşti, POLICOLOR Bucharest.

IPROCHIM is well known national and international brand, having many certifications like:

By the implementation of the modern chemical technologies, including by building pilot plants, IPROCHIM collaborated with research institutes in Romania among which we mention: ICECHIM Bucharest – Chemical Research Institute, Organic Chemistry Center Bucharest, INCD ECOIND Bucharest – National Research Development Institute (waste water treatment), ICITPR Ploieşti – Research and Process Engineering in Petro-chemistry and Refinery, ICEPALV Bucharest – Research Institute for Auxiliary products Dyes and Varnishes, ICA Bucharest – Foodstuff Research Institute.

IPROCHIM is certified by CNCAN Authorization no. 09-017/24.04.2009 to design in the nuclear field, as it gained experience in the design of Heavy Water Complex - Drobeta Turnu Severin and in the development of the design contracts for the Nuclear Electric Station Cernavoda.

IPROCHIM concluded in 2002 a technical assistance contract of various specialties for the achievement of Unit no. 2 at C.N. E. INVEST Cernavodă, which developed until the commissioning.

At the same time, IPROCHIM collaborated with foreign partners with whom it achieved designs for investments in Romania (PUROLITE – Great Britain, OHL – Germany, ENVIRO CHEMIE – Germany, ARIONEX – Switzerland, LINDE – Germany, PROCTER & GAMBLE – Belgium, VICHEM – France, MICHELIN – France, SAINT GOBAIN – France, VOEST WABAG – Austria, etc.) and with world wide known companies which have know-how for the essential chemical processes as LURGI, KELLOGG, MONSANTO, NORSK HIDRO, OSW LINZ, STAMICARBON, HYDRO-AGRI, HOECHST, UHDE, INVENTA, SPECHIM, GENERAL BALLESTRA, SULZER, PIRELLI, GENERAL TYRE, MITSUBISHI, GRANDE PAROISSE and is prepared to develop the cooperation with other companies too.

The existence of a highly qualified personnel and the expertise gained during decades enable IPROCHIM to achieve the design of the chemical and petrochemical plants for the Romanian industry, as well as various studies, designs and technical evaluations for clients from China, Turkey, Syria, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Pakistan and other countries. Among the most important clients we can mention COURTAULDS – Great Britain, HITACHI & JOSEN, TOYO, FEI – Japan, SAMSUNG – Korea, THOMASEN – Netherlands, HEURTEY PETROCHEM - France, WTS – Italy, etc.).

IPROCHIM had, in the last period, clients from Romania as: OLTCHIM Rm. Vβlcea, PETROM –OMV group, TERAPIA Cluj Napoca, AZOMUREŞ Tβrgu Mureş, SOFERT Bacău, ANTIBIOTICE Iaşi, UZUC Ploieşti, SITON Bucharest, KΦBER Piatra Neamţ, CME Cernavodă, VIROMET Victoria, LUKOIL PETROTEL Ploieşti, ROMPETROL Petromidia Refinery.

By its activity, by its large data base it owns, as well as by the professional and management capacity with which it operates, IPROCHIM is a reference mark for the chemical and petrochemical industry.

In March 1991, IPROCHIM became a joint - stock company in accordance with HG 156/17.03.1991.
